Stay clear of cascading global SEO, customize description tags on every web page
The description tag is also called the Meta description tag and it contains the information that Google and many other search engines display just below the blue link on the results page.
This is those first few sentences you see which describe the page you are about to click on from the search results page. Google and other search engines use the description tag to provide an accurate description of your web page/ site so people using Google or another search engine know if what they searched for is likely to be on your page before they click on it.
From Joomla Websites to Standard HTML Sites, the meta title tag is very important for SEO
The title tag on your small business website is also called the Meta title tag. This tag is a quick summary of what is on your page, just like the title of a book the title tag is the title of your page.
You want your title tag to be exactly descriptive of what is on the page since it shows up in three important places: in the browser's title bar, in the browser's tab title bar, and as the title of your listing in search engine results.
When choosing a web design platform for your online presence you will be faced with thousands of options. From do it yourself website builders, to completely custom design, to a variety of content management systems. At World Source Tech, we utilize many different platforms including WordPress, Joomla!, and even some off the shelf PHP web builders for small business clients. However, when it comes to having the most professional presence with the best opportunities for scalability and features like communities, e-commerce, and managing lots of pages, a custom Joomla! web design is your best bet.
Why Choose Custom Joomla! Web Design
Joomla! is easy to use for the end user, meaning you the client and all of your staff. With just a 30 minute walk through, clients can add, update, delete, and create in Joomla! without having to have any tech or coding knowledge. This is really handy for companies that have allot of information to organize or more than one content contributor.
Joomla allows multiple administrators with different levels of permissions and publishing capabilities ensuring content contributions are approved prior to publish (if you want). Many off the shelf platforms or do it yourself builders don't allow for multiple content contributors and don't have a system for authors and publishers to ensure content is proofread before it is published. Joomla! has all of this, and with a custom Joomla design you can have all of this with a great looking, professional website.
Custom Joomla Web Design comes with infinite possibilities. From a standard website to a portal or directory, Joomla! is your foundation. With Joomla you can have private / member user log-in areas, create online communities, intranets, listing directories for a million different things or just manage tons of content for a regular website. Even if you don't have "tons of content" you will find Joomla! to be one of the most professional and reliable platforms to power your www presence.
Joomla! has a huge user base with an active and thriving community of support. Just check out www.joomla.org to see how Joomla! is one of the worlds most successful content management systems with a community that is dedicated to supporting and developing this awesome CMS (content management system).
Custom Joomla! web design uses the JED (Joomla! Extension Directory) . Check out all of the awesome things we can make Joomla! do with a commercial extension or by customizing and even creating our own commercial extension when one doesn't already exist. The Joomla Extension Directory ,or JED for short, provides our developers with a starting point for customizing your Joomla! website to do exactly what you want it to do.
Joomla! has its own security counsel and rapidly releases updates whenever even minimal exploit potential is identified.
Custom Joomla! Web Design does not look like a cookie cutter site. Often times "Off The Shelf" or "Do it Yourself" websites, even WordPress websites look templated, cookie cutter or just non original. Most WordPress sites scream (hey I'm a WordPress site). Conversely a custom Joomla! web design makes it difficult to discern which platform the site uses, thereby presenting a more enterprise or professional site to your prospects and customers.
Joomla! is written in PHP and driven by MySQL. What does that mean to you? Probably nothing until I explain that PHP is an excellent web programming language known for speed and efficiency and is often the standard for new website development. MySQL is another highly popular, secure, and scalable database application powering the dynamic content capabilities of your custom Joomla! website. Together these behind the scenes power languages make it possible for you to sign in, update content, write a blog post, add a product, process orders, and change a picture within minutes.
Custom Joomla! web designs are search engine friendly, especially if you have the right designer. World Source Tech really works to achieve excellent search visibility for our client's target keywords. In this way we are strategic in the web design process and make it our business to completely understand how your prospects and customers will want to find you using search engines. Joomla! allows us to quickly implement a solution with search engine friendly links, dynamic meta data, and lots of well organized content!
Joomla! designs are modular. This is probably one of my favorite features of the Joomla! content management system. A custom Joomla! design will still be based upon module positions thereby allowing us to move content around, positioning forms, images, and anything else differently page by page or uniformly if you prefer. This module positioning structure allows for beautiful layouts with the opportunity to test different variations within content to see what will better convert web site visitors into website leads.
Overall we just love Joomla! because it is a scalable tool usable by businesses of all sizes. Joomla! allows business owners to quickly publish content and generate leads, it allows us to give access to multiple content publishers, moderate content prior to publish, and provide online communities with individual username and password credentials. With a custom Joomla! design from World Source Tech success is inevitable. Joomla! is used by mom and pops and fortune five hundeds, by the pizza place around the corner and by companies like MTV as well as hundreds of local, state, and even national governments around the world. I could probably think of 90 more reasons why custom Joomla! web design is the best but I would rather tell you in person or on the phone. Please request some information from us to learn how World Source Tech can help you with your custom Joomla! web design so that your new website can be up and running generating website leads for your business as soon as possible! That is the question, right? It seems like a simple yes or no question. Does your site need a redesign? Feels like a pretty arbitrary answer. Actually, it's not simple or arbitrary. Redesign isn't even your only option, nor is it always the best one. So then what are your options, and how can you tell which direction is the right one for you and your company?
Your first task is to understand the options and which situation each option is best in. Typically, you have 3 options: Total Redesign, something called a Realignment, or to do Nothing.
It's safe to say that most companies have heard of this Search Engine Optimization thing in passing, at least. It's a mysterious, magical process that rockets your company website to the front of Google Searches, right? The details of what it really is tend to be a little murky. And whose job is it, anyway? The IT department? The marketing department? Maybe just leave it to the graphic and/or website designer, since it's part of the website, right?
This kind of thinking is part of the first big failure that a company can make when considering SEO. There are other potential pitfalls that can evolve into huge black holes for your company's time, money, and resources, as well. Read on to learn what the common mistakes are—and how to avoid them.
So what does this jargon mean, “conversion” and “Call to Action”? Well the first thing to note is that they are closely related. “Conversion” is simply when someone who came to look at your website actually takes action, contacting your company, signing up for a news letter, becoming a client/buyer/donator/etc. A “Call to Action” (or “CTA”) is how you make the Conversion happen.
So who cares about conversions and calls to action? Well, you do--or, you should. Websites are great for providing information about your company or products. A good website will be easy for the visitor to navigate. But you need something to entice your visitor to, rather than hit the back button and go back to their search, instead decide to chose your company, your product, etc. You want their business, and your website is a great place to convince them to give it to you, right here, right now.
Getting high rankings on search engines nowadays is important for every business.· So how do you make your way towards the first page--to that coveted #1 position?· What are the things to do--and to avoid--to get the best possible ranking for your website?

It always strikes me as amazing when I see our technologies and processes working together to create a single, finished product, especially with the level of web and marketing technology we enjoy today here at World Source Tech. According to the Harvard Business Review, companies that contacted potential customers within an hour of receiving a query were nearly seven times more likely to qualify the lead as those that contacted the customer an hour later — and more than 60 times as likely as companies that waited 24 hours or longer.
Despite these findings, 63 percent of companies failed to respond in that “Golden Hour”. Twenty-four percent waited more than a day, and 23 percent didn’t respond at all. (From http://www.websitemagazine.com) Wow, what a great finding. Do you realize how important your contact form is? How does your contact form perform? We can help you receive real-time query via your phone or email.
Video is a big part of many online marketing campaigns. However, reaching a global audience with video can be difficult, largely because of language barriers in crucial markets. So, what's the solution?
"Subtitles are a very effective way to broaden your Web audience by conveying the business' marketing message in multiple languages," says Stephen McCluskey, CEO of Vzaar, a video platform company that specializes in providing service to e-commerce sites. Upon recognizing the potential value of including multi-language subtitles on a company's video content, Vzaar got to work on developing a way to introduce them into its platform, thus enabling e-commerce and online marketers to easily target videos to consumers around the world.
Web marketers are still trying to discover the most effective methods for mobile advertising. Now, there is evidence suggesting that the future of mobile marketing may lie in rich media ad units.
According to research completed in September 2011, rich media ad units dominated standard media in terms of click-through rates (CTRs), the primary method of measuring user engagement with mobile ads.
What do you expect from your website, only a web presentation or even more? Do you even have set expecations between yourself and your webmaster or web designer?
Some websites appear dull and they just sit there waiting for people to see them. The only result of these website is wasting money in renewing their services, and bring no monetary output at all. Have you ever thought a website that works as your second salesperson to generate positive cash flow for your business?
Inbound requests to do business with us (or with our customers on behalf of them) is why we blog, upload testimonials, add new content like articles, reviews, and videos to a site. Then, we need a supporting actor to help us get that content seen. One way to this is to use various social media accounts that link to the content we create on websites.
1. So you need to know that your website must have a blog with an RSS feed. I'll tell you why below.
The idea that all of these tasks have in common is that there is consistent, daily addition of content and daily distribution of that content to drive traffic to the website where prospects can request more information by clicking on a CTA (call to action button) and submitting a form with some of their information on it in exchange for content. Mostly content is public on a website however, valuable content should be provided in trade for at minimum, an email address - this is called lead capture an nurturing and it is possible when you create awesome content on a regular basis and distribute that content to people who care about it.
We all know how annoying it can get to have your email bombarded by newsletters. Why would you want to be another deleted email? As consumers we are getting really good at fine tuning our spam blockers, blocking phone calls, and weeding out the information we really want- you're good at it right? So is your potential customer to whom you want to send email to. This means you have to send things people actually want to read. This really means you can't just send ads via email- it's not your direct mail flyer replacement. Email is however, an excellent communication tool for marketing that, when providing great content and subtle call to action will result in great returns and measurable business.
So, you don't want to be a groupie with the SPAM band right? Well, how about if you throw in a little content, some interesting pictures or even a video link of something that your clients might laugh at or you personally found to be both fun and informational. These types of content are what keep you in front of your clients or prospecting clients as the solver of their problems for whatever it is your business does for them.
Today, we implemented a new function to our blog system and new submission forms that integrate with VTiger CRM. Now everybody can subscribe to our blog by just entering your email address and then clicking the subscribe button. That's it! Seemingly simple, this is actually a custom module created for the Lyftin Bloggie component in Joomla 1.5. While all blogs should have this, Lyftin does not come with it so we had to create it...
Form #1 you should have on your website: A way to subscribe for updates to a blog, articles or news. You should ask for an email address at minimum.
So my function at World Source Tech can be kind of nebulous right, I mean what exactly does "Social Media Coordinator" mean? So to give a little insight into my world and some of the things I might do to help generate Measurable Website Results for our clients I thought I would just touch on my blogging activities from today and provide a few useful tips for writing your own blog.
Today, I focused on inbound marketing for some of our marketing concierge Real Estate clients by creating interesting content that will attract visitors to their website and facebook pages. To do this I wrote a blog post focusing on "How to Prepare Your Home For the Fall" to post on the client's custom Joomla! website blog. After the blog is posted, I will provide a sample rewritten version for facebook with a link to the full article on the custom website. This gives credit to the original post and potentially creates an authoritative inbound link from facebook, but only if the client's facebook audience likes and clicks through- this is my job. We will also use that link I mentioned on the client's twitter account with a catchy and interesting one liner to generate some interest about the new content.
What a pleasure to support and speak at such an amazing event helping Real Estate professionals and others learn about new technology, social media, and Internet marketing. Likewise what an awesome learning experience for myself and staff. The content delivered at the 2011 REbarcamp in Grand Rapids, Michigan was engaging, interesting, and relevant. The exchange of information in each discussion group was on point with what small business owners like Real Estate professionals need to know about how to promote their business and listings on the Internet. Bar Divani http://www.bar-divani.com/ hosted the event with 200 Real Estate professional attendees, most of whom stayed the entire day from 8AM-4PM.

You might think that because you don't sell a widget online that you can't measure your online success and that having an SSL certificate to encrypt your web pages is just useless. We urge you to think again...
At World Source Tech we build websites for hundreds of service companies that don't necessarily sell a widget or product online but do indeed acquire leads and prospects, appointment requests, requests for a phone call, requests for more information, requests for newsletters, requests for quotes, and more all via their website. These request submissions are one way in which we can measure the return you get from your website. Increasing the number of conversions (people who see the submission form like "Request a Quote" and then submit their information) is done by increasing trust with the prospect on the site. You see, since the prospect's request submissions contain information like their Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and potentially sensitive business and personal information it is important to protect this information and let the site visitor know how it is protected. Even if the information is not truly sensitive, it may be to the prospect and so showing SSL certification helps place the prospect at ease when determining if he or she will submit their information as you have called them to action to on your site.
So, you are a Real Estate agent and you want to be on the first page of Goolge for local searches in your area right? Join the club, the club of thousands of agents with template websites that just sit there and really do nothing. Sure, driving traffic from your business card, yard signs, and other marketing material might capture some but is your website producing sales? ...
Probably not. Can your website produce at least leads that convert to sales? It is very likely if you work with World Source Tech and Joomla. While I am always cautious to guarantee anything, we do so much to drive and convert prospects to leads that there is always something measurable and of use from working with us on your website.
I have to say that I was not expecting our video testimonials project to turn out as well as it has so far. I knew that all of our clients were seeing measurable results but I was not really sure how they would react to being asked for video testimonial, and how they would look and sound on camera for that matter. I think Jacuqueline Smart from our office was a huge comfort and coached each one of our clients through the questions which definitely helped. What I am most impressed is that apart from the statistics that we provide our clients, many of our customers are also tracking in their own systems, the definite dollar amount generated from their website. In all cases so far, our clients are happy, ecstatic really, to report that they have received two and three fold returns on their investments over a period of less than 12 months.
So, what is it that we are doing here that is so different from your current web designer? Well, I can't tell you what anyone else is or is not doing but I can tell you that we are totally passionate and "geeked out" about seeing real results that make our clients grow and profit. For us, this experience validates us a computer and marketing nerds and gives us purpose. While that may sound extreme, we literally jump out of our chairs when we get off the phone with a client who tells us they just made x thousands of dollars through their new website last month; moments like these are very emotional! However, probably the most important to our success and the success of our clients is our investment of time and energy into our Raving Fans Customer Service. Not only do we know what we're doing, we do it with a smile because we love what we're doing. This translates into an amazing experience for our customers that really de-mystifies everything about getting a website and focuses on the functional purpose of the web which is "to get business in the door and money in the bank account."
